Coach Collins has been coaching the girls cross country and track and field teams at Glastonbury High School since 2000. In his 15 year tenure the girls have won 7 Class LL Team State Championships and 3 Team State Open Championships. Coach Collins’ teams have qualified for the New England Championships 10 out of the last 11 years, where they have finished in the top 8 every year, including one 3rd place showing, one 2nd place showing, and a New England team Championship.

In 2012 Coach Collins was named the Connecticut Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year. In 2014 he was named the Region 1 Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year and was a National finalist for Girls Cross Country National Coach of the year.

In addition to being one of the nation’s top cross country coaches, Coach Collins is a strong supporter of camp. Coach Collins believes camp is all about the kids: giving them a great experience and having them become runners for life!
